Pahiyas Festival 2017
The most colorful festival in the Philippines is celebrated in the small town of Lucban in Quezon Province, the Pahiyas Festival. The Pahiyas Festival is an annual event of giving thanks to the town's patron San Isidro Labrador for the bountiful harvest. Every year there is a route called the "Pahiyas Route". This route is where the Grand Parade will take place and the houses on this route are included in the contest of decorating their houses with products and harvests of the farmers. The Pahiyas Festival is one of the most visited festivals in the Philippines. Pahiyas came from the word "Payas" which means decoration or to decor. The said festival gave Lucban the name "The Summer and Art Capital of Quezon" for the Lucbanins showcase of artistry especially during the Pahiyas Festival.
